What we automate — and what stays in Xero.
During the private pilot Drovero automates capture, extraction, deterministic validation, and matching preparation. It does not create, update, post, reconcile, or attach anything in your accounting system, and it never moves money. Documents are stored immutably in Drovero and prepared for review and matching; the final accounting action stays in Xero.

Is this bookkeeping software?
No. During the private pilot Drovero captures receipts and bills read-only, extracts and validates the fields, and prepares them for matching. It does not keep your books and does not write to your accounting system.
Does it auto-reconcile my bank feed?
No. Drovero never reconciles. Xero access is read-only comparison only: we compare prepared documents against existing Xero data to surface likely matches. The final accounting action stays in Xero, performed by you or your accountant.
Do you support iCloud?
Not today. Apple does not offer the same server-side OAuth folder sync that Google Drive and OneDrive do. A device-assisted picker and Share Sheet import from Apple Files are planned. Sign in with Apple is identity only — it does not grant iCloud file access.
Is bank access read-only?
Yes. Plaid provides read-only transaction data used only to strengthen matching evidence. Drovero never moves money, never initiates payments, and never stores bank credentials.
Do I need Xero?
For the private pilot, yes — read-only Xero access is what makes comparison-based matching useful. Other cloud accounting systems are not supported yet.
What happens when a document is uncertain?
Deterministic checks lead (supplier, amount, currency, date). When a field falls below confidence, the document is routed to a review queue rather than guessed at. You approve or edit it in one screen.
What counts as a document?
A single receipt, invoice, or bill PDF or image. Multi-page invoices count as one document. Statements are not counted as documents; they support matching only.
